Kinchit’s vigil ends tamely. It’s a length ball outside off, he looks to slice it on the rise but it ends up stopping on him and he can only lob it for Shadab. A good knock that less than three overs ago seemed to have rescued his team. But the slide seems unstoppable now 99/9). Pakistan vs Hong Kong Asia Cup Highlights – Sept 16, 2018

Pak v HK highlights today – Asia cup 2018 second ODI match Group A from Dubai International Cricket Stadium (U.A.E) Sunday 16th September 2018. As we know Pakistan has the favorite side of this Asian tournament because of their recent performance in ODI format and also they got home advantage in UAE. On the other side, Hong Kong also showed their talent by qualifying the first round.

The Dubai surface is usually extremely dry, even by the UAE standards, but it does tend to take turn later on in the match, particularly under lights. The weather will be extremely hot and sunny – the forecast for the highest tomorrow is 41 C – which may test the fitness of the quick bowlers. Pakistan, too, is likely to take this game as seriously as any other, if only because they will want their strongest XI firing on all cylinders ahead of their meeting with India.

The biggest question still remains whether Pakistan knows what their best bowling combination is, and which of the six fast bowlers they have brought to the UAE deserve the nod in the final XI. Hong Kong’s batting depth has been a concern, particularly since Mark Chapman left to ply his trade in New Zealand. The top order will be crucial, but they’re unlikely to make any changes to the side that eked out a nervy win against the UAE in the qualifying final.

Anshuman Rath: Saw the game yesterday and the pitch seemed to stay true. We’re ready, we deserve to be here, especially on the back of losing ODI status in March. We’ve beaten top teams before, hope we could do it again. After the Qualifiers, a lot of our players have confidence.
Sarfraz Ahmed: We wanted to bat. But we’ll try to restrict them and chase the target. Hong Kong has qualified for this event, so congrats to them. We won’t take them lightly. It’s a long tournament and we’re not thinking too far ahead. Going with four pacers today.

Hong Kong have won the toss and will bat first.
