Pak U19s v Ind U19s highlights today – Watch Icc under-19s world cup 2018 second semi-final at Hagley Oval, Christchurch (New Zealand) Tuesday 30th January 2018. It’s the big one today – India v Pakistan from Hagley Oval in Christchurch. The winner goes on to face Australia (who beat Afghanistan yesterday) in Saturday’s final. Here’s a quick recap of how both teams have done so far.
Pakistan’s template has been simple this tournament – look to field first and then dismantle the opposition with their bowling. The only time they’ve lost was when they batted first. Another thing that would hearten the Pakistan camp is that India’s otherwise steel-like batting was tested in the quarter-final.
They were all out for 265 to Bangladesh’s combination of pace and spin only four days ago. India, however, has the bowling to match – and perhaps, even outshine – that of their rivals from across the border. Anukul Roy’s slow left-armers have earned him 11 wickets thus far, and together with Shivam Mavi and Kamlesh Nagarkoti, they have bowled their opposition out in every game yet. Pakistan, too, has its own 11-wicket man though. Shaheen Afridi’s left-arm medium-pacers could trouble India’s batsmen if there’s something in the air early on.
India Under-19s won the toss and elected to bat.
