Dean Elgar: “I was a little bit undecided but I think I was also going to bat first so it’s worked OK for us. It does look a little greener than expected but I think it might play better than it looks. We know that with the bat we’ve been a little under par but it’s a good challenge for us.”
Pat Cummins: “A little bit of color in the wicket. The crowd is going to be happy. I think it might be a little bit misleading the color. Sometimes here at the Gabba it just gets better and better so no matter what happens today hopefully it’s a good batting wicket later on.”
